(More customer reviews)I Purchased this speaker to upgrade from a 12inch sony after doing months of reading a shopping and comparing. I couldn't be happier. The build quality is great and it installed with no problems. Its a very effecient speaker and makes the most out of your amp. It also has great frequency response. I would suggest you use the specified enclosure size because I initially built one that was a little big (I usually do to get lower frequency response and crisper sound...theoretically) but I am much happier now that I rebuilt the box to the right size (pack it with polyfill!). It also sounds considerably better (and louder) after breaking it in. You will notice however that the included hardware is cromed and looks really nice but the allen head won't actually fit any allen wrenches (metric or standard). I ended up slightly filing down the edges of a metric allen wrench so it would wedge in o.k. and taped the wrench to the back of my enclosure for future use. This sub will make you feel like you graduated into a new level of quality and classy-ness in car audio.The sheer excitment you will get when you see the SIZE of the box that the fed ex man is lugging up the drieway is well worth the price of this speaker.
