(More customer reviews)I spent the extra money on the Sony speakers because I thought their materials/build quality would hold up better in the harsh marine environment, but after about a month on our 38 foot catamaran these speakers started to rust!Gradually a brown streak stained the speaker from the center cone to the bottom, leaching onto the fiberglass underneath it.While they still worked, I was surprised that a Sony product would start to degrade as fast as it did.Maybe it's impossible to build a speaker that won't do this, but in that case they should come in the color brown...Oh, the sound was great, so they still get two stars.
